I saw stars.

Day 354 of 365

I am working late tonight, and I am missing out. Ron is burning fallen branches from the winter winds in the burn pit he built, and it’s beautiful out there. I love seeing the fire with the forest in the background. I wish to be out there with him, communing with the woods while he burns the branches. He’s supposed to do it again tomorrow though, so I’ll be sure to be out there–communing as much as I know how.

Ron did come get me just a little bit ago to show me the stars. They are magnificent tonight. Tonight, in our part of Maine, you can see Mars and the twin stars, Castor and Pollux. And, oh my gosh! Venus is so big and sparkly.

I always feel so insignificant when I look deeply at the stars. It’s so humbling and yet so magical at the same time, isn’t it?
