Day 272 of 365
This morning, I was so happy to let the chickens out of the coop. The chickens were so happy too. About half of the flock was out of that little door within the first minute. I was so thankful to have things be back to normal this morning. I spent another bit of time checking for frost bite, and I saw nothing. Today, in the chicken forums, people were posting so many pictures of frost bite. I was thankful we didn’t have any, at least not that I can find. It’s a good sign.
Sadly, I am sick. I haven’t been sick in a long time. My guess is that I am exhausted from the worry from the last week. I am not sure why the extreme temperatures worried me so much. We made sure we were well prepared. Maybe it was the wind. The trees creaking. Concern about the animals. Just all of it, I guess.
Ron said he was surprised at how stressed out I was. I was surprised too. Hopefully, I am doing better tomorrow.
Hope you feel better soon Crystal.
Stress will lower our resistance…. it’s good that your stressful event was short lived.
Happy outside chicken day.!šš

Pat, thank you! I am definitely getting better. The progress is slower than I would like, but progress is progress. š
