Description
These mason jar beeswax candles are a treasure because they are both beautiful and useful–and they are made with joy and love. They have no chemicals, burn for such a long time, and are made with up-cycled jars.
They are made in Maine by me and my family of helpers. We use organic beeswax and a little bit of organic coconut oil for smoothness. These jars are 14 ounces, so you get a lot of beeswax in one candle. The wax in unscented, which means purer smell with no toxins. My little boy said he thought the candles smelled a little like “honey smoke.”
There are some important perks to unscented beeswax candles:
1. Solid beeswax candles burn longer.
2. Beeswax candles actually help pull toxins from the air.
3. Unscented candles contain no chemical scents and burn clean.
4. They are great for bringing light and warmth to any room–and a little bit of magic.
With our in-home testing, we found that we could burn one candle a total of 39 hours and still have a little left.
These simple, lovely candles make great gifts for friends, family–as well as the teachers in your life.
Of course, there is a trick to get mason jar candles to burn evenly without tunneling–and this applies to most mason jar candles. For even burning, your first burn should be at least four hours. If you cannot burn that long, for your first few burns, wrap the top of the jar in aluminum foil. This will promote an even burn without the dreaded tunneling.
